The problem is, I don't drink nearly enough, and I'm desperately casting around for things that actually make me want to hydrate. If left to my own devices I'll have a 10oz coffee with "brunch," a 16oz cold drink with dinner, and that's about it. I may have the odd sip of fruit juice in-between times, but that's really it. At least this gets an extra 250ml a day into me. I've always been the same, but at least when I was "drinking" I was getting beers etc. into me. Since I've stopped drinking alcohol this last couple of years I'm short by that amount now. There's always a bottle of filtered water in the fridge, and there it stays without my wife to nag me.

I can sympathise with you on that score Paul.
I only started to drink water on a daily basis last year when I began dieting but even now I don't drink as much as I should.
I will only drink sparkling, can't stand any tap water.

Don't talk to me about root canals. After 7 attempts they were filled but only after a chunk of my jaw was ground away last week to remove an infection above. Getting tired of soup!

Sorry to hear about the root canals - I had a couple not long ago but the process went ok.
You are very right about kidney stones - last year I had to go hospital due to completely overwhelming pain that they said was most likely a kidney stone. I never want to repeat that experience!

I recently changed grouphead baskets and went to a finer grind. This resulted in better extraction, and stronger espresso shot. Very happy with the results.
Favourite coffee, still Silver Oak (North Cambs Micro Roastery) Costa Rica

Love that Mike!
Very happy to be ordering more coffee from Thomsons up in Glasgow - I got a tracking number just 45 mins after ordering.

I've just paid 8 quid to have delivered what must be the worst coffee I have ever had.
Christ on a bike. It smells of coffee, but nothing else, always a bad sign. No subtle aromas or complexity of fruits or anything else. No freshness, was it roasted last year? Promises nothing and offers nothing.
Drinking it I thought I might as well be drinking an instant coffee, it would have more flavour. A horrible grey, flat mass of nothingness. I now have 240g of coffee to throw in the bin. Yes, it really is that bad.

Wogan Coffee managed to dispatch my order with 70 minutes of ordering today. Now that's what I call service! That's nothing, I ordered a pair of shoes from eBay last night, at around 11 pm, and they were dispatched within 15 minutes. The vendor obviously has access to a 24-hour post office, which is, conveniently, on his street. Meanwhile, I'm extremely p*ssed off that Nescafé has discontinued my favourite instant, their Gold Barista Style. It's the best instant I've tried, and it was often heavily discounted, which, I assure you, makes it taste even better. I'm down to my last four 180g tins. I'll probably sample Nescafé Azera Americano, or I may just return to Carte Noire. Sacrilige, I know, but does anyone have a favourite instant that might be worth my while trying, for those *lazy* cups of cofee?
