Ah, reminds me of when I used to have sugar in tea - 6 tea spoons! Thankfully this was aged 7 or so and didn't last too long.

So have you tried it yet Jules? I won't be as I don't have any instant coffee, but here's a good insight into what it is.
If you don't know him, James Hoffmann is the co-founder of Square Mile Coffee Roasters. He does a lot of good coffee & coffee paraphernalia reviews.

No not tried yet Tim. The sugar is off-putting. Looks like a holiday coffee or something ...

Good god. And there's me with 0 not naturally occurring sugar in any thing! I'd spit that out straight away if I accidentally drank it!

I'd love to try it, but I'm frightened I'd like it.

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. No idea which method of shipment they're using.

Put an order in with Thomsons this week - anyone received their TEAM coffee yet?

Good I have mine too arrived 2 days ago. Won't be trying it for a few days though. Today's effort was Wogan Nicaraguan. Bloody wonderful.

Having thought I had plenty of coffee I delayed my order but now run out and waiting for delivery ... Perfect!
On the way I have the NHS Team coffee, Columbia San Pascual and Brazil Santos. I will try that Paraiso next time.

I must say I like the look of this espresso machine on Kickstarter ... whether I have the space for one is a different matter!

Did you order/try the NHS Team coffee, Jules? It's a very drinkable blend, works well in my single mug caftiere (I left my Aeropress at work).

I've now tried the Team and the San Pascual.
Particularly like the strawberry notes from the SP. Both excellent and really fresh tasting as usual from Thomsons.
I've found that all their coffees need a little bit longer to brew for Aeropress, around 60-70 secs is best ...

Yes, I noticed that with the caftiere ground.

Triple bottomless portafilter shot of Wogan Nicaraguan. Afternoon coffee pre lockdown bike ride. Glorious weather here.

I've just enjoyed another Team coffee, quite appropriate as I've been on Microsoft Teams all day.

Going plant based food only, meant I had to find something other than milk for my beloved cappuccino.
My daughter's were ahead of me during their student years so we have had, Oat, Soya, Flax, Pea etc etc in the past. At one time we had 5 different milks in the fridge. Marie likes the goat milk Sainsbury sell!
Ordinary soya milk is not very nice, froths okay though. Pea, flax forget!
The barista Oat milks of Oat-lyi and Alpro were the first choice. Not bad. Good froth. Lacking after cow, but your taste buds do adapt. Then I found Alpro Soya Professional. Most decent coffee houses had this or the Oat-lyi (sadly not open now of course). I bought a 12 pack of Soya Professional from Amazon. You can't get it any supermarket around here.
However lately I've found if I mix the Oat Barista and Soya Professional 30/70 I get the most delicious blend.
You really get the coffee taste though as these milks are not as sweet as cow.

For me, this stuff makes the best coffee. The higher the fat content the better it would seem!. www.grahamsfamilydairy.com/our-products/gold-range/gold-topAfter that, it's the milk I get delivered. Milkman's milk coffee I made this morning. Not too impressed with how it looks but hey, some days you win, some days you lose:D
