I'm trying this. Of course, the jokers at work soon broadcast that I have a 'Brazilian'. In other news, I'm looking for coffee from Hollywood.

I find Brazil coffees are very reliable indeed.

I am really enjoying the Taylor's Brazilian - it's rich but smooth and the aroma has remained down to the bottom of the tin, always a good sign.

For my tastes, this Nicaraguan coffee the best I have tried to date. The description says it all ... Very impressed with service from Wogan Coffee - low prices, quick and cheap shipping.

I'm discovering coffee...... Has to be the right feel and time for me of around 11am Currently have Taylor's Hot Java Lava as chosen by the boss. Heat up the mug with boiling water so I can add soya milk and it stays quite hot. So far so what ?! Out yesterday we were offered a cup of coffee, pods. Nescafe Dolce Gusto Americano. Only cow milk or creme so I risked it raw Big surprise for me I liked it quite a lot Premium Arabica Profile - aromatic & nuanced Intensity - 4 A blend of three iconic Arabica coffees for a particularly aromatic, and nuanced coffee Taylor's is 6 and maybe why I need soya milk to calm it down What do I need to look at for a similar area, not pods ?

Brazilian and Colombian coffees are generally not harsh.
Try it black, really! You'll accustom to it quickly and wonder why you ever bothered with cow juice.

Tried Taylor's Hot Lava Java and it's very nice. That and Taylor's Brasilia are both great coffees, with an honourable mention for Cafe Direct Macchu Picchu Peru.

What strength and how are you making it, Mike?
I use two Aeropress spoons to make the usual espresso amount (2 on the graduation), brew for 45s, then top up to make a mug.

The coffee itself is a 6. Filling a full De Longhi container and putting through same De Longhi coffee maker

Ok, if it's a coffee maker presumably you can adjust the strength?

The boss tells me we use the 2 shot Can use a 1 shot
I tried less coffee in the 2 shot and it was a bit too weak
Yet another area I know little of - but I'm learning !

Americano (another name for a mug-full) is usually made with a shot of espresso and then fill with hot water to taste. I usually go for around 2/3 full.

My guess is the taste is what is doing it.
That will be proved, or not when we load up the Colombian !

Colombian day today !
Preferred to Hot Java Lava. Has a slightly milder taste, not quite so attacking
Tried without then with soya milk. Think I prefer soya milk which I like anyway
Will try again soon, tomorrow Taylor's Brazilia
