Wow, that's how a website should be done. Very impressive!

I'm never quite sure when seeing these threads again on another forum whether repeating the same old comment is a bit tedious. BUT - first, that is a great virtual tour website for Abbey Road and second - it is a special place. My friend Sam recorded there recently and was just in awe of "the place" and the great recordings that have taken place there. (He was also somewhat in awe of the instruments there available for him to play - he was 21 this week and has "youngsters" instruments of his own. Just to try and flood the web with Roxxon and give the kids a boost - here is another take from their session there If you need a covers band... And if you don't - Abbey Road is a special place

One major omission to this list - George Harrison's All things Must Pass was partly recorded and mixed at Trident. At the same time as Lindisfarne were recording Nicely out Of Tune.

Neither of the two Rush albums listed were recorded at Trident, but they were mixed down there. Hemispheres was recorded at Rockfield, and Permanent Waves was recorded at Le Studio, Morin Heights, Quebec.
The mixing desk at Trident was highly regarded in the industry, and many sound engineers thought that the desk had a pleasant musical quality.

There's a Beeb news article about the expansion plans for Abbey Road, which have just been granted planning permission. They say it will make bookihg a session there cheaper for young talent. Abbey Road Studios to ExpandLet it run on after the article for another one about repressing rare classical LPs.
