I'm still relatively new to the hi-fi hobby, but my addiction to music is long-standing. I listen using several formats, more or less in equal measure - files, tapes, and LPs (CDs never really took) - and find that each has its own unique merits and drawbacks. I listen to music from a wide variety of genres (I know everyone says that, but really). So - to use some grossly broad genre terms - I mostly divide my time between classical, Jazz, electronic (from straight-up dance to bonkers experimental), and archival and field recordings. I also like bits and pieces of rock and hip-hop. I tend to prefer music without vocals, but there are always exceptions to that. I have a preference for listening to things that I've not heard before, so I'm always on the look-out for new things and recommendations. Glad to be here
