Hello one and all, I am Guest's partner and I share his enthusiasm for audio and of cause the reason for it, music. We like different albums sometimes, but have enough in common to be able to achieve harmony.
I am also a big TV fan, but not films.

Hi Moth and welcome to The Audio Standard. What sort of music do you like? Do you both have the same taste in music or do you differ?

Hi Moth and welcome to The Audio Standard. What sort of music do you like? Do you both have the same taste in music or do you differ? I like stuff with good lyrics that I can belt out in the car. Guest likes some instrumentals, which I find dull. I guess you would have to say I go for Stadium and AOR.

AOR bands like Kansas Styx and Journey can trace their influences to some of the prog bands of the early 70s

Hi Moth and welcome to TAS! Hi-Fi harmony at home sounds like a dream come true but we can all strive for it. So Queen, Simple Minds, Boston, Journey, that kind of thing?

Thank you, I see you like obscure bands, I have heard of none of those you list. You would be in your eyeholes listening with Guest, he goes for that sort of thing.

I seen A.C.T. and Ayreon play with Stream Of Consciousness . It a bit more progressive with a very commercial sound Saga and IT Bites is about as commercial as I go these days A.C.T. are very influenced by bands like Kansas

Can I ask why it says "under Investigation" under Moth's name tag please? Apart from saying she liked using a tape deck nobody had heard of (not a criminal offence the last time I checked) I haven't seen anything that would warrant such a label. I feel that labelling people publicly is wrong and I don't think it is in keeping with the tone of the forum.
Can't we simply treat people as welcome members until such time as they break the forum rules? If and when they do, can't any sanctions or investigations be kept private? Sorry to make an issue of this but I found seeing that label both disappointing and disturbing.

You're one step behind. We've been patient, but now I'm afraid Moth's account will be suspended if 'she' doesn't explain her posts. The banner is to explain to all members not to get drawn in any further.

I hadn't seen the other post so thanks for the heads-up. I stand by what I said about the label though. Of course I'm just a member here and I have no say, but the labels give me a really bad feeling. I hope Moth comes clean and explains because there seems to be nothing to gain from talking about fantasy products that don't exist. When it comes to my available funds and space, there are enough "fantasy" products out there that really do exist!

We shall take on board what you say and think about how we can do it differently in the future

Thanks, John. That's all I could ask for. I realise it's far easier to sit on this side of the fence than be given the onerous task of managing a harmonious forum.

I'll be the first to make a public apology if I've got it wrong. I don't like this either, but I really am thinking of the members first here.
