Been a while since Steve sent them to me to try out. Sorry for the delay Steve Just a bit preoccupied with work and still plenty going on.....
Tested them when they first arrived and thought there was a subtle difference, but too knackered to test further, then too busy.
Made time today First test with granite placemats on top of the Isis CD player. One either side of the top loader
Good sound
Swap for tailor made S1NX tops either side.
Sound opened out, more top end and mid range detail. More solid bass. Nice.
Tested again with the boss in the co pilot's seat
Granite first then the S1NXs
Remembering how the S1NXs sounded I thought the sound was now closed in. Slightly muffled Swap to S1NX Same result for me. The boss said it was subtly better and she preferred 'the second one' I think I have another winner
Thanks Steve. Whatever next ?

Interesting, Mike. You had mini-S1NX made for the flat surface either side of the top loader? What's between the S1NX and the top surface? Felt, feet or nothing?

Love it when a plan comes together Let me know what you'd like to finish the CD tray. I imagine a block either the same to keep the step up or thinner to have a level top overall. Need you to confirm the dimensions Mike. Whatever next? Well, I have all my components on the platforms and for me there's a cumulative effect, but it would be helpful if sometime either of you could test and confirm that. I've reached the conclusion that although the results are consistent, the actual arrangement can vary to optimise different bits of kit, considering what's in the box, the casework and the existing footers, so I don't think there's a universal set up. For example, my Dac sounds at it's best with RDC cones, my amp sounds different with RDC cones or without, but both good, yet my Oppo always sounds plain wrong with RDC's (or any alternate feet) and stays on the original feet, plastic and felt though they are. My AG1500 has agreed to hard rubber blocks.

S1NX on top with an off cut on the loader Isis So, for my understanding...
Nothing between S1NX and top of Isis?

On top as well even less room left ! Do you have an idea of the "what's in the box" configuration, generic maybe ?

I'm still on granite placemats on top with S1NX underneath. They do the job well.

Perhaps when things are settled I might have Steve make me another small one. I could only use it on the DAC, though, as my rack doesn't have enough space for them anywhere else.

Do you have some felt on the underside or just place it raw on the component?

It doesn't rock or rattle?
I put self-adhesive felt under all my granite.

Thanks. That's a possible future upgrade. I have a few more things to chase down first, like I2S.
