Years later Patrick Macnee said, looking back, doing The New Avengers was a mistake and something he wished he hadn't done. I always thought it was a mistake. I was also gutted when Diana Rigged left The Avengers; I think it was my first real experience of loss. I continued to watch it hoping she would return. Could never accept Linda Thorson. That particular episode was on Channel 61 That's Entertainment on Freeview last night.
