Okki Nokki Mk2, as it seems to do the job, and was slightly more expensive than a Moth DIY.

Clearaudio Smart Matrix here, too.
Having tried a lot of different chemicals, I'm back to the Clearaudio as being the best for cleaning and drying spotlessly.

Quick scrub with a nail brush and some washing up liquid. Rinse under the hot tap. Press flat on towel after hot water has half melted the record and then leave out in the sun to dry off properly and bend again. Perfect!!

I bought a Hanss Acoustics RCM a couple of years ago because I was offered a very good deal on it. Still going strong ...

Dave, I also see you sell it. Please advise, is it used straight from the bottle or is it diluted with distilled water before use? Thanks, Greg

Cleaning records is fun? I consider it a necessary evil.

Interested to know who uses what and why please. Any contributions gratefully received. I've never owned one but would like to one day. Cost is a factor for me. You can buy a decent deck for the price of even a cheap one. Maybe if I see a bargain one day.

Having recently got back into vinyl (and spent a lot) cost was a consideration for me too. So had a rummage about online, did my research and a mate put me onto what I think is exactly what your after. This: maquinaphk.xpg.uol.com.br/home.htmlAs effective as anything else out there in my opinion, but for hundreds of pounds less. One of those common sense designs that makes you wonder why no one else has done it. Unlike the expensive ones, it uses your own vacuum for suction, but everyone's got one of those already right? It's no hassle, just connect up your Hoover attachmet and job done. Records come out looking like new and more importantly are dead quiet after use. Even with brand new records the background noise is reduced and the music is more to the fore. Here's a really useful video a guy made showing how it all works, mind you it's one of the trippiest YouTube demos I've seen! Hope this is helpful buddy.

I had £450 earmarked for an Okki Nokki - but my own recently found DIY method does the job just fine. - hi-torque dd tt running at 45rpm - microfibre cloths x2 - damp one cloth with a line of cleaning fluid & dry off with the other - "Into the groove" cleaner from eBay Just let the record spin with gentle pressure from the cloths. Sorted -- turns your typical charity shop grungers into near minters. £450 stays firmly in pocket!

I use a VPI HW-17, mainly because it is extremely well built and has a more powerful vacuum compared with the others I tried. For fluids I am using Clear Groove, purchased from Amazon. I looked at the ultrasonic cleaners but wasn't convinced that the Audio Desk Systeme was very robust. Other ultrasonic ones weren't available when I bought the VPI....
