David Bowie Space Oddity. Bought it when I was a child. Oddly, I've never liked a single thing he's done once I got past the age of 7.

I'm guessing I was 13 when I bought that.....
Only played on my parent's stereogram for a few years

I've always thought Hunky Dory was the best album he ever made.

'Beatles for Sale' Had to save up my pocket-money for it, and it was a mono copy as my parent's Philips radiogram used a cartridge/arm that was only suited to playing mono records (LPs and 78s). For the life of me, I cannot remember what my second LP purchase was!

I've always thought Hunky Dory was the best album he ever made. The Man who sold the world is pretty good Most of the rest not worth bothering with IMO

'Beatles for Sale' For the life of me, I cannot remember what my second LP purchase was! Think I just carried on with Beatles LPs as they came out. Loads of 45s too

I never did. Acquired virtually all Beatles albums as a set quite recently.

I can't remember mine either. Could have been The Sports - Don't Throw Stones, Kansas - Point of Know Return or Dragon - Sunshine.

Can't remember the first album I bought but I do remember the first CD I was given. I was poorly with a flu bug and feeling very sorry for myself (think I was 10 or 11) and my parents bought me; Huey Lewis & The News - Fore! I remember this vividly as I didn't have a CD player to listen to it on so Dad helped me downstairs so I could listen to it on his 'proper' Hifi Paul.

Cheating a bit here as it was an EP not an LP
Having blown the whole of my £7 savings on a cheap record player, I had a few shillings (remember those?) left and the only disc I could find for the price was 'TV theme tunes' from Woolworths.
Can't for the life of me remember my first actual album but almost certainly Beatles

My first CD was Foreigner - Agent Provocateur. Still a great album!
