What was the first album you ever bought with your own cash? Mine was this one: £2.99 in HMV in Brighton!

Can't provide an album photo but mine was 'The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Jazz Goes to College', bought when I was a school kid way back in 1955 when you lot were eggs waiting to be fertilized . The track 'Le Souk' was played many a time and now and again I still get it out and I'm transported to another place and another time. With various continental moves over time I have lost alot of my collection but the remaining ones do provide me with a selection of about 2,000 lps... a window on my life and musical loves over a considerable time span. Sorry you probably don't know what I'm talking about but some of the music you listen to I am totally unaware of. Does this mean I'm in the wrong company here and should leave ?

Most of my friends think my taste is obscure I would not worry about it

Nothing unusual, Ron. Our first albums seem to strongly reflect our age.

Can't provide an album photo but mine was 'The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Jazz Goes to College' Why not . . . you can manage a font change, cover art is just as simple? I think most people think my music choice is odd too, so Jazz is probably a lot more acceptable than Amerciana or Country! Never understand why folk mess with the default font

Life boils down to choices, likes and dislikes so if its okay all round I shall continue to use it and chill out with my glass of wine to hand Thanks for the covershot but I have the earlier issue with different artwork... you know us olds we are simply shit and learning new tricks but look what we have given to the audio world!
