He could make his price list a lot easier to find on the website! I could not see a price list! 3 clicks 😉

Anyone used the Japanese version of eBay? What a rip off. What a rip off. Out of curiosity I went after an Audio Technica AT666EX Disc Vacuum Disc Stabilizer - and won it, for about £76, which seemed OK. The final cost, however, came to a total of about £172, with carriage & insurance and packing fee (£57) and fees (£39). A centre handles international orders, allowing local sellers to sell to anyone. So you have a fee to get the item to the centre. Then there's the auction fee. Then there's a banking fee. And then you have a fee for simply transferring money from PayPal into your account. Never again.

I've used the Japanese Amazon and the (now defunct) Japanese HMV to good effect. There's Snow Records, too.

When you get bitten by excess cost it tend to influence what you think of the product you bought.. Basically because its put you in a pissed orf mood.

Well I'm not pissed orf. I've just accepted it now. Bit of a fatalist.
I have been curious about the item for decades.
Recently I could have got a faulty PD300 turntable and Mission 774 arm for about £350. Which would have been much better value.

You would have been better with the Luxman, they are easy enough to repair... The AT Vacuum platter is a bit of a piss about tbh..

They have been at quite a few shows I have attended.

Indeed, I've heard them, too. What I mean is: are you going to buy them on an auction site without hearing them in your own system?
P.S. wasn't that impressed with them, really.

Utter insanity.. Good sounding item but the quality & finish is far from desirable. One of those faddee things that gets talked about to much on forums hence the inflated price arm

One for Pinkie. These dont come up very often PinkieMy mate bought one off EBay and it came in bits. He put it back together and it sounded poor. He sold it quickly and it fell to bits in transit again. It ended up in the bin. I saw the thing and the way it was built. Without doubt the shoddiest bit of kit I have ever seen.......by a big margin.
