I actually preferred this to the PT1 and PT Export. But then I tend to like split slab decks compared to bouncy ones.

The GTI version had the shiny top plate. Very nice they are too. I've had a few in my time. The bog standard LPT had a grey Nextel top plate. Nextel isn't the most durable finish and they don't look half as nice as the shiny black GTI

i thought the GTI always came with a knob to match the acrylic platter. Though. 'Twas a long time time ago, so maybe I'm mis-remembering some details.
