The thinking is that DIY projects can sit alongside other topics in their specific categories. We have a speaker section, so DIY speakers go there and so on. Likewise with AV - AV amps in the amplification section etc....

Off the top of my head, there are a few threads on speakers - Martin refurbed his Gale 401s and I made some mad modifications to a pair of Genexxa Pro LX5s and there's one about refoaming. The Raspberry Pi stuff is quite DIYish too, I suppose. There's also a photo record of the plinth for my Goldring G99 being built by Carl.

If you have/had a DIY project, feel free to start a thread in the most appropriate component topic. There's lots of interest here for low cost DIY so you'll get plenty of interest.
