So, this is where all you reprobates are lurking now! Do I really have to do a biography when I am famous the world over as being a right pain in the rump OK then, if I must, I must. Frank A.K.A. "Effem" on other forums and been addicted to nice noises from black and silver boxes for getting on for 45 years now - how time flies. One time cable maker and I know how a hi-fi system should sound once it has been cabled up properly. My current system is quite modest, consisting of an "Original 2008f" CD player, a Thule "Spirit" integrated amp and a pair of JPW AP3 speakers. Sounded pretty good given that I got quite a bit of change from £400 when I bought it, but now with the addition of a SLIC Innovations Eclipse C interconnect it would embarass quite a few more esoteric systems way up in their thousands. In fact the bloomin' cable costs more than the rest of the system put together!

Hi Frank and welcome to TAS! Funnily enough that's the first time I've seen your system list. Nice to have context. So come in from the warm, have a cooler and mosey around for a bit

Hi Frank and welcome to TAS! Funnily enough that's the first time I've seen your system list. Nice to have context. So come in from the warm, have a cooler and mosey around for a bit I used to have the full kit list in my signature on another forum Martin but I got so much derision from making such absurd claims that a MERE CABLE could transform that modest system into something rather special, I withdrew it. I see it that this exceptional cable that I rave about so much, has actually revealed that behind the smog created by the other cables I have used in the past, has now been blown well away and I can hear what these components actually do sound like and "modest" they are not. So, this current system gives me far more listening pleasure than the many thousands I used to spend previously searching for the elusive sound I now have. That reads as something rather perverse, but it is entirely true and if a lotty win was forthcoming would I jump on that treadmill yet again? Perhaps not.

How about using a hammock for your kit so it suspends in mid air?
How would that sound? No rack at all?

How about using a hammock for your kit so it suspends in mid air? How would that sound? No rack at all? It wouldn't sound very good as some components need damping as well as isolation. See what I did there, I took you seriously.
Stop goading!

After all those years of personally using 2mm cross sectional 34 stranded 2n copper cables I am now finally realizing they is more to signal transfer than I thought Hi Dave Thank you for the comments. I did enjoy the show, lots of new people, good brands, new exhibitors and great atmosphere. With two room we could only set up early Sunday morning (6am) so it was very tight on both room readiness and SQ, however a great many enjoyed both the music and equipment that was on offer. It was a very long weekend for ourselves, however we will be returning next year.

Morning Martin Indeed we were demonstrating the Compact reference 1's along with the evolution range of TAD electronics, we had a large room to play with which can be tricky, however the TAD's delivered a sterling performance which did engage with a great many listeners. We were involved with five rooms Brodmann, TAD, Sonneteer, The Audioworks, Doug Brady's in all close to six tonnes of equipment that was on discplay throughtout those rooms If you look carefully you can see Marco's head in back row of the first image.
