Oh dear, another lot who know about sampling theory and therefore "know" that hi-res files cannot make a difference. Those of us who have sampled 24/96 or similar files (or SACD or DVD-A) have heard the improvement over 16/44 despite Information Theory suggesting that it's all beyond our hearing.

It's triangular so it can be allowed as hand baggage on commercial airlines.

I wonder why these people bother.
Is it genetics, an urge to make money, or other ?
Neil Young isn't perfect but he does give a damn about good quality music

There are always people ready to shoot down anything that raises it's head above the parapet of mediocrity. Human nature I guess.

Dammit! I've obviously been going wrong all this time trusting my ears. If only I had relied on "demonstrated mathematical truth" instead. Yet another "Harry" telling us we don't wanna do that. I've heard of the "thought police" but there seems to be a more than a few members of the "hearing police" these days.

What I know about Neil Young from reading his biography, Shakey he won't care much about the naysayers. He will speak his mind about them too

Part of his appeal for me is that he doesn't give a toss for so many things. Tells it like it is. You don't like it - tough.
He has made some stunning 11/10 albums and some not so good ones.
Saw him live twice I think Hammersmith Odeon as was - beyond stunning. Just fabulous. If I could time travel it would be a place I'd want to go and Wembley around the Trans era with Nils Lofgren - beyond disappointing
He knows how to make a guitar *do* things, top level music. Difficult to believe he has been at the top for so long and digging out that music from somewhere
