Saw a pic today of the CS600 - hadn't heard of Leben until recently and they look superb. What is it that makes them so good?
Im not in the market for one but would like to know more!

They have a certain house sound that a lot of people like but not for everyone I had one in my system for a demo and sounded good but not for me

I think a lot of people are initially sold on the look, to be honest. Let's face it, they do have the sort of presence that infers quality. As John says though, they may be a bit marmitey.

I must admit I don't like the looks or the sounds. The ones I have heard aren't that special overall, a bit bland and uninteresting and there is a definite sting at high freqs.
Over-priced and over-hyped fashion accessories, if you ask me!
Defo not on my boxswap hit list.
But as has been said, there are a lot of Leben fans around. Knock yerselfs out.

I've never really studied the details, but took a closer look yesterday and the thing that struck me is that the integrated and power amps all seem rather light. Not in the featherweight class, but less that I would expect from amps of their given specs. This might suggest that there may be less than ideal transformers in them. I've also got to worry when I read that one of Mr.Hyodo's favourite amps is the Quad II. Yuk!

My view was a romantic take on the music. I understand this will appeal to people. Kind of horses for courses

Interesting answers. Have to admit it was the looks that got my attention and the build quality looks quite decent as well. I noticed the switchable plate voltage also.
Ok,fair play. If I get the chance to hear one I will but no rush. I'm still loving my Eduardowobblechops customised amp!
As always,much appreciated.

Great in its day and a clever design but pretty much defines rose tinted specs...

Hear a great system getting better. Can demonstrate some of the tweaks too If you ever have to pass through Heathrow we're just down the road

Many thanks mikemusic - hopefully one day!!
John, yes it is. An AVC EL34 that Ali very kindly put work into for me as well as showing me around the insides of it. There are threads on the process but it's beyond me finding them!! I won't be parting with it that's for sure!
