They've got one of those hundred grand Teslas in a shop near me. Great car. There's cheaper models to come as well - think £18000 and £32000 are the prices but that's 3-5 years away, The hundred grand model is 0-60 in 2.5 seconds! £12,000 deposit then £500pm - bit pricey but low running costs. £4 to fully charge it. THATS the way forward. Speaking of Teslas, this on YouTube made me laugh.

Yes Foscam do some good stuff and low prices, wont be easy setting up without any network.
A old router with wifi could be set up at pre65's mothers house just to provide wifi and DHCP etc for a laptop and camera, should work even without a connection to the internet (possibly)

Today I have 3.47 Down, .84 up and 19ms ping This is a good day I would say you have a wiring fault, that is slower than ADSL.

Real Fibre to the premises is perfect and its modern technology I'm intruiged as to why anyone should want 300 Mbps, when (see my note above) I get everything I want from a tenth of that ! (OK maybe in an office environment where you have loads of PC's etc running at the same time) I don't think anyone needs 300 Mbps, for me the lowest cost and slowest business package available was 250/ 125 and it connects a bit faster at about 350/175 with 1ms ping. The business sales at Kcom did offer me 1 gig down / 500 up for a huge monthly fee but I don't need it. 100/100 would have been perfect but for service providers to justify the extra costs the speed has to be fast doesn't it One bonus is that backups to Backblaze are nice and fast, uploads at about 44Mbps to Backblaze while watching youtube and spotify playing etc

I take it for granted that connections are tripe, pretty much like any modern technology imho, so it does not really bother me. Real Fibre to the premises is perfect and its modern technology

watch the last downhill again Mike and think of a preying mantis sat backwards on a bike looked awkward but it worked. The spectators where too close as usual near the summit and Froome was fined for punching/elbowing a spectator that invaded his space: metro.co.uk/2016/07/09/chris-froome-appears-to-punch-fan-during-stage-eight-of-the-tour-de-france-5996972/Crowd control is always poor near the summits on the TDF, put some barriers up and leave some room for the cyclists. A great stage win on Saturday and Cav is doing well with stage wins and points which is great to watch.

Not convinced on mulching. Depends on the garden and what the grass is used for I think. Our grass is shaded by trees most of the day and can be mossy so prefer to hoover everything up into the grass box and keep the grass as clear as possible. Also we have dogs and we don't want little bits of mulched grass brought into the house on dogs paws so don't do mulching.
