UPS via Interparcel gets my vote too. Bonus is that the UPS drop off point is a short walk from me, so as long as the parcel is not too heavy, beig able to take it there makes it even cheaper. Plus their drivers are nice cheerful chaps too

If we're going to assume that the number on the clock is the number we're to use, surely the number of bananas per bunch and the number of sides on the shapes need to be taken into account, all of which are different on the last line... I therefore make it 38

There's no smiley on the post I was commenting on Tim (not your last post, but two before) but hey, no big deal my friend My sentiment still stands on the bigger picture though

Tim Said "I have to admit with this thread and the 'guilty secrets' one, I'm starting to seriously question the credentials of some so called music lovers. I mean it's all very worrying!"
I'm going to sound like the admin of another forum Tim, but with no smiley at the end of your comment above (plus I don't know you personally) its difficult to know if your being serious or whether its tongue in cheek
We're all music lovers, irrespective of what floats our boat. I'll listen to anything and if you take the last 12 months, I've discovered that I like Bob Dylan's 70/80 output, some of Jethro Tull's early work is pretty good, I prefer post Peter Gabriel Genesis and I cannot understand what the fuss is about the Fish period of Marillion... that is just the tip of the iceberg, this list of discovery could go on and on and on...
What should get on our collective goat is when somebody posts that they hate something without even listening to it and giving it a chance. But hey, that's their choice and we're fortunate that this subject of music which divides/polarises opinion is diverse enough for all of us to move onto something which brings us enjoyment... whether LP, CD or flac (other formats are available)

These could be a fantastic Christmas present for somebody here... a superb pair of birdeye maple Audio Note AN/E-lx hemp speakers. I bought direct from AN around 18 months ago they could be yours for £1700 collected. I have the original Audio Note boxes with inserts, so courier collection is a possibility, albeit, I'd only be happy to box them up and provide weights/dimensions so that you could arrange your own courier collection, with the risks involved being your responsibility.
The original instructions and links are included. For the speaker specs, check this Audio Note link: www.audionote.co.uk/products/speakers/an-e_01.shtml

As way of an additional sweetener, if you collect these personally, I'll throw in the dedicated AN/E speaker stands (filled with sand) and a set of Electric Beach Rockin Roller equipment supports which sat between the stands and speakers... both for FREE. That's £400+ of extras gratis... but only available when collected in person.
Electric Beach Rockin Rollers: markgrant.co.uk/accessories/324-electric-beach-rockin-rollers-x2.html AN-E Speaker Stands: www.hificollective.co.uk/kits/audionote/speakerstands.html
Disclaimer: No other equipment in this photo is available as part of this interest check... especially as the AN Oto Integrated, Primare CD player and LFD Phono have already departed to pastures anew and are being enjoyed by their new owners
Any questions, fire or PM away
Cheers Pete

Back in the days before t'internet, video cassettes with Oldfield clips used to do the rounds and a very poor copy of this clip was one of the highlights.

Excellent playlist! There's lot of stuff I have there but a few tracks I don't know ... No worries Jules... I'd imagine that the stuff you'd heard before could well be found on the Streetsounds releases. A couple of years ago before DJ Mike Allen passed away, I found some old tapes with tunes taped from the radio between 1984-87, and that is where many of the others would have come from.

The first and second are from my golden period of early hip-hop and electro... I loved early Public Enemy, but their polarisation of the genre pushed me off to pastures anew... Yes, early Public Enemy was unstoppable ... Not sure if this'll work Jules, but after a similar thread on another forum, I've been putting together a YouTube playlist featuring the early stuff I used to (and still) enjoy www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdrnHVAFk_54UHJRfLx-F5m67JNSrnlwP

Nowt wrong with the Streetsounds Electro and Hip-Hop series... I still have most of them on cassette and for many in the UK, they were a great introduction to the genre... as was the Mike Allen Rap Show on Capital here in London. Tim Westwood came along later, but by then, gangsta rap had taken a firm foot hold and I took solace in the Orb and ambient house...

Many thanks for the comments chaps... I should've added that each box has four small rubber feet and they seem to keep them sat perfectly in position
