At least that would be providing a useful service.

Rosberg's move on Verstappen may have included some payback for movement under braking. Even so he's being a dipstick....wheels straight on whilst driving his opponent off the track then claiming he was on full lock. He was doing the overtaking too so the onus is on him to be careful, instead he's playing dirty.

I had a call the other day supposedly from BT Openreach concern errors on my line. I realise BT supply my broadband but I don't believe BT would call me as I'm a TalkTalk customer. When we got to the point where I was asked to go to my computer to view errors I gave up. Presumably I'd have been asked to enter a URL....then wham.

We all cope differently and unpredictably. My Father died 10 minutes before my wife was diagnosed with cancer, my mother died a few months later followed by my sister. I was kept very busy with three wills and two properties to clear and sell. Surprisingly my US boss was amazingly understanding and gave me latitude with my job; often the US give you just a week to sort yourself out. I was given the 18 months I needed. I immersed myself in what I needed to do, this keeping myself busy sorting out affairs helped me.

I have fibre broadband with copper to the house. After a week I get 1.5Mb instead of 16Mb. I used to restart the router to fix it...I've since found that unplugging the phone wire and reconnecting is all that's needed. It seems like the router and exchange are loosing sync in some way. Frustrating. Do you have telephone extensions wired in the house? Is your router connected to your master socket? Is your master socket a BT badged one, or does it have Openreach on it? Do you have a filtered faceplate or do you have the dongle filters all over the place? First of all I have to say the problem I'm expereinecing is new, it's been over the last few weeks. All had been fine for about a year. Do you have telephone extensions wired in the house? No - I've removed all extensions Is your router connected to your master socket? Yes Is your master socket a BT badged one, or does it have Openreach on it? Badged BT, it has a capacitor in it but is not the latest larger type of line socket Do you have a filtered faceplate or do you have the dongle filters all over the place? I have a dongle filter, just on this socket as it's the only socket. Read more: theaudiostandard.net/thread/2457/broadband-speeds-routers#ixzz4FdFnr5bB

Also my current work machine is a Mac - not my preference but I struggle along. My sympathies It's been an interesting journey. What its demonstrated to me is that Macs are no more stable than Windows machines. It believe what happens with Macs is that most Mac users stick with Apple software so it all works quite smoothly. Windows users tend to stay with all sorts of software which can be less reliable. My non-Apple corporate software on my Mac is less than great. Instead of blue screens I get hangs.

My neighbour was caught, he realised quickly, it only cost him a small amount from his credit card plus a rebuild of his hard drive.
As my current and previous employers are massive US IT companies I usually offer to put the scammers in touch with our support team. The line goes dead.... Also my current work machine is a Mac - not my preference but I struggle along.

I've got hold of the Fone Records Four Seasons. It's even better than I'd hoped so thanks Jules for mentioning it. It's played so beautifully. This is going to be played a lot. I thought I'd exhausted my Four Seasons appetite. This really is a great recording. If I could only play one record this might well be it.

They need to modify the radio ban. Coaching of drivers about the best lines to take etc should continue to be banned. How to manage these very complex cars should be allowed. Aside from Hamilton and Kimi having problems, the viewers loose out massively as the radio messages were good contributors to the races. If only for the viewers bring back team radio in a significant way (without coaching).

Mine's working well. I've set the auto off on my camera to 2 mins. The only slight foible is that the range is low, just a few inches....this will depend on the camera. My Sony has a metal jacket and the SD card door has a thin metal plate on it so thew wifi signal has a a tough time.

Hi John, it'll be fine but is it a p-SLC type? I'm just starting to get to know about p-SLC for microSD and SLC for SD.

The SD card for temp storage and running the app is a good step forward. I'm now agonising over a 4gb vs 16gb SLC SD at 22 quid vs 49. 4gb will be fine for most music except for DSD and very hi res.
For those that don't know wavs take double their normal space when on the SD card under bughead.

Clive, I'd be interested to learn what I'd need to do to reduce the input gain on my 306. Whilst it was okay with the BTE passive pre, the Little Dot mk2 can overdrive it somewhat, although I can negate this by adjusting the levels on my computer (not an ideal solution). Incidentally, I've found that driving the Quad with valves seems to be the way to go, to my ears anyway. I'm not sure what Colin is referring to but it doesn't sound great. Re 306 gain, here are the words direct from the Dada manual (BTW the std resistor is 9R1): The standard input-sensitivity is 0.375 Volt. If you want to change it to 0.775 Volt replace R13 with 18R – if you want to change it to 1.0 Volt (Line-voltage) replace it with 27R. The alternative resistors are included in the kit.
If you are using the 306 with a 33, 34, 44 or 66 preamplifier you might not prefer to change the sensitivity. But in most cases the 0.775V or 1.0V setting makes the volume pot range on Quad pre amps more usable. For other preamplifiers you would prefer the 1.0 Volt sensitivity. Of course you can always change it afterwards.

Be aware the Flashair doesn't seem to work well with Nikons. Possibly it'll work with the camera in live view mode. Eye-Fi cards are probably a better for Nikons though the cards are smaller and more costly. I'm getting a FlashAir for my Sony so thanks Stan for the heads up.

It seems Nico couldn't cope with an oversteer setup which was necessary to give better turn in so the Mercs could compete with the Bulls. As a result his tyres and brakes ran too cool. I suppose Jenson would have faired similarly. The problem Lewis has is the number of engine penalties he'll have late in the season.
