When I get a 4K player BR2049 is going to be my first disc. I already have the Blu-ray director's cut of BR.

Mark Kermode (who's a big BR fan) reckons The Final Cut is the best version to have, although I'm not sure what the difference is to the DC?

The Director's Cut has the all-important unicorn dream sequence, so I'm not sure what it adds.

I have all three original Dragons with Noomi Rapace and agree, they're superb. I play them with subtitles, though, don't like dubbed soundtracks. Have you tried the dubbed versions? I thought that they were quite well done, much better than some I've seen. If anyone hasn't seen them b.t.w Music Magpie have the Blu-ray set for under a tenner at Amazon (used/vg).

Maybe not remarkable, but I really quite liked, Trainspotting 2, it wasn't quite as good as the first, but good to see how the characters have changed and grown over the years

The Director's Cut has the all-important unicorn dream sequence, so I'm not sure what it adds. Me neither as I've not seen it, just quoting Mark K as he's really into Blade Runner. I hope to see it in IMAX 3D this week in Birmingham, got a busy week ahead. Be interesting to see how it compares to the Cardiff Cineworld Superscreen, which is probably the best cinema screen I've ever been to, especially the sound.

As the wife is away with our daughter this week I thought I'd have a movie week . I have never seen the Bourne films , I bought a Blu-Ray boxset last year , watched the first two , really enjoyed them.

The only way to watch those is one after the other, straight through 3 of the best films ever made for me.

Just watched BR2049 at an IMAX 3D in Birmingham, outstanding.
I know you're not a fan of 3D Martin and I'm not normally, but this film was made for it. A totally immersive experience, you are in the film. If you have one near you, you might be surprised how good it is?
For me, sitting in the right place is essential for the best experience, I like 3/4 rows from the screen, dead centre, from there everything really jumps out and in an IMAX you're in it.
A glorious film and the best of the year so far.

I agree with you on the seating position, I like to be in that spot too. The screen should completely fill your field of view. I think I mentioned that my Odeon screen 1 sound was outstandingly good, too. I really don't like 3D as it's an unnatural experience for me and gives me a headache. I spend more time analysing the 3D and thinking about my headache than I do enjoying the film. For me, the film is a stunner and I'll be seeing it again. What's really great about the sequel, also, is my respect for Scott's original and how good that was. It's really stood the test of time and is one of my desert island films.

I think it'll become a classic in its own right. Been listening to the score over the last few nights - rather good!

Probably been mentioned earlier in the thread, Cloud Atlas , I watched it last night for the second time what a strange film it is , I never took it in when it first came out , I'm not sure whether its a masterpiece or a load of baloney , entertaining nonetheless .

I'd call it a flawed masterpiece. Certainly made me think about it for a long time afterwards.

Quite a few have now seen BR2049, but the question is still relevant if you haven't, but you'd need to be a fan of the original/2049 or both to have considered it. I've seen 2049 five times now 😀
So, my question;
Is Deckard a replicant?
I have my view, but I'd be interested to hear others thoughts before saying what I think.

I think the first film answers that (the director's cut) with the Unicorn dream sequence and the origami at the end.
