The latest series of Killing Eve on Sky is excellent and you can download the whole series to watch, rather than waiting for the recordings. Designated Survivor series 3 on Netflix was very good, wifey and I finished watching that last week. last episode weird, but expected

The Americans continues to be riveting, real and intriguing Don't watch too many at once as it might depress you

I've just watched "Wild Bill" a series that debuted on ITV last night. I recorded it without any great expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Basic premise: An American policeman takes a new job as the new top cop in Boston... Lincolnshire. I expected comedy-drama without too much depth, and in truth, many of the characters seemed a bit 2-dimensional but it was only episode one and if the writers had spent ages on the back-stories of every character I'd probably be moaning about that too. There was a good bit of drama, and not as much comedy as I was expecting, e.g. a severed head, in a fridge, a Russian gangster, and so on. I'll be watching episode 2. I've just watched episode two of Wild Bill and it's quite enjoyable. The characters are starting to be fleshed out a little and it's definitely more "adult" than I first thought it might be. Rob Lowe (The West Wing, Parks and Recreation) leads the cast as Bill. He also serves as executive producer on the new series. The crime drama also features Rachael Stirling (The Bletchley Circle, Detectorists) as Lady Mary Harborough, Angela Griffin (Ordinary Lies, Brief Encounters) as local journalist Lisa Cranston, Tony Pitts (Peaky Blinders, Line Of Duty) as Crime Commissioner Keith Metcalfe and Bronwyn James (Harlots, The ABC Murders) as DC Muriel Yeardsley. I'm 90% hooked.

Designated Survivor series 3 on Netflix was very good, wifey and I finished watching that last week. Just finished it last night. Interesting how a president with even the best intentions gets slowly pulled into corruption and suppression. The justification was that in power, he could do more good. Isn't it always? Well played by Sutherland although sometimes I still get a flash of Jack Bauer from him! Isn't Italia Ricci gorgeous?

Yes I agree on all points, it was an interesting ending I must say and wasn't entirely expected from our perspective. Italia Ricci is rather fine

One of the things that made West Wing so good
No easy answers, compromise for the least worst option

Madam Secretary now free on Amazon Prime
Stepdaughter rates this as good as West Wing Not quite, good anyway and worth watching. 3 episodes in I like Téa Leoni as well.
Light relief with a situation resolved reasonably well compared to The Americans where it becomes more complicated with grisly bits and death often enough

Madam Secretary has been consistently good, although sometimes the 'solutions' have been a little easy to come by.
There have been some outstanding episodes of drama and others with quite lightweight settings. Always enjoyable to watch and Tea Leoni is very believable in the role. I've seen all 5 series.

I have seen all of the episodes and would agree that Tea Leoni is very good in the role. I wouldn’t say it’s quite up to West Wing standards, but good in its own right.

Have a working Tivo at last, just in time for the Tour
Going through set up reminds me how terrible 90% of television programmes are. So much awful rubbish. Very few gems in any area
Season passes in drama set up so far for Elementary Marvel's Agents of Shield Rookie Blue
Amazon Prime delivers many others, again after I have picked them out from the dross

Elementary's quite good fun, isn't it, Mike. "Perception," on 5USA is another one in the same ballpark.

Thanks Paul Perception looks at least interesting Added to Season passes Never heard of it before I don't know if you ever watched "Will & Grace" but Eric McCormack, who plays the lead in Perception was the eponymous "Will." LeVar Burton (Geordi in Star Trek:TNG) plays his boss at the University.

I've started watching Unit 42 on Netflix, another Belgian police drama. The boss is a procedural detective, does things by the book. The computer forensics girl is wayward, used to be a hacker herself and doesn't like rules. Full of gritty dark cityscapes. It's been done before but this looks good based on the first couple of episodes.
