We are 4/6 into Quicksand. It's a bit teenagery, but hell, it's on Swedish

Yes, agreed, and she does nothing to help her case with the pre-trial investigation.
Not hard to look at, though, and there is something strangely compelling about her 'death spiral'.

The fifth episode got rather 'adult'.. Spiral is the right word!

Quicksand (Storst av allt) has received wide acclaim in Sweden for it's gritty and focused portrayal. Netflix reportedly aimed it at it's younger audience - we enjoyed it though Based on Malin Persson Giolitos crime/court thriller. It's Netflix first Swedish series. I think there may be more - hope so.. The turn on / off subtitles and dubbing feature is excellent and should increase drama appeal. I can thank my eldest daughter for flagging it up. I would probably have found it sooner or later though.

Remember Deadwood? It was an excellent series and now there's a film coming out, also starring Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant and Molly Parker.

I have never watched Deadwood but continually hear good things about it so should seek it out.
Mostly I find that films are a let down when they come after the series. The other way around seems to work better.

Try the Swedish audio and English subtitles, Paul. It works well for me.

Started on Bosch from season 1 ep 1. Sort of modern day Dirty Harry.. Without the Magnum 44. Punk! The series is good, it has plenty of atmosphere. Gritty, might be a good word. The books (by Michael Connelly,) from which the series has been developed, are even better.

He's even called Harry !!! It's short for Hieronymus though, in this case. "Dirty Hieronymus" hasn't quite got the same *ring* to it

Excellent Lots of clever stuff you have to pay attention to and are well rewarded by. You never quite know what will happen next.

I recently bought s11 of The X-Files on Blu-ray as I know I missed some episodes when it was on TV. It then occurred to me that I couldn't remember if I'd seen all of s10, or "The Event Series," so I bought that too. I already own s1-s9. I've just started watching s10 and I'm really going to enjoy the ride.
I suppose, at some stage, I should get stuck back in to GoT. I watched s1 and then sort of got sidetracked. I've got s2 to s6 sitting here waiting for me.
It's weird, but since my wife passed away I find my attention wandering while watching things; films are worst. I end up, like now, buggering about on the internet while watching stuff because I can't *just* sit and watch for some reason. Maybe I just don't want to waste time doing one thing when I could be doing two. Maybe I'm just a bit bonkers.
