The first time I read Dune holds the strongest memory of the impact it had on me, even if I was too young to fully understand all the concepts, which would come later (I've read it three times). Without doubt the most extraordinary book I've ever read.

Villeneuve and Zimmer are the dream team for this project, and Dune Part 1 did not disappoint. It has left the Lynch and 2-part dramatisation in the shadows. Everything about their vision is epic, truly fitting the book. I can't wait to see Part 2.

Great to watch that performance by Zimmer. Who is the woman singing? She is extraordinary with something of Lisa Gerrard about her wordless sounds.
