I have been a audio addict ever since getting my first system. In my case it started more of frustration with the sound I was hearing I have no idea how many speakers cables amplifiers etc to get to a point that I am happy I found that one upgrade would lead to the next with the mindset that somehow the next bit of gear would make a difference. I hate to think on how much I have spent over the years. Sorting out mains issues was one off the biggest challenges Its a endless upgrade or rethink path that is lead by a certain degree of obsession. I am now at point that I can't find fault with what I hear and in few weeks time might never hear it again The mixture of emotions and above all loss prevails.

The loss phrase is worrying. Do you have to let it go or something? I know you were in a sweet spot with power supply, noise control, streaming, DAC etc.. It is a striving hobby, but above all about the music.

The first step to fighting any addiction is admitting it exists.
