John Frusciante & Josh Klinghoffer - A Sphere In The Heart Of Silence (2004) This album choice was a strange one for me because the music inside is so interwoven with memories of 2015-2018 that it's impossible to seperate the music from those good memories. Hearing the music feels more like watching a movie of memories. Having said that I think the music is quite good though in fact I've never in my life once heard this album mentioned anywhere by anyone. You'll notice one of the names on the credits of each song. John Frusciante. This is the guitar player who joined and rejoined the Red Hot Chili Prppers a few times and was with them for some of their biggest albums. I was not able to fit the entire album title into the subject line. Take a gander fellows. Do your worst and let's see what this album sounds like to a multitude of ears.

I like the rhythms and beats with the electronic accompaniments. I actually have a problem with the vocals, none of which I like very much. I'll go with 3/5 but modify it to "needs better voices".

Thanks guys and tbh these comments have unearthed something that I noticed as an annoyance though never pinpointed what it was.
The vocals lol. At 3:25 of the track 'Walls' it's comical. The melodies aren't so bad it's the quality of the singing that is a bit tough.
I feel like the quality of the songwriting is good enough to warrant a second effort from this duo. But reading up on it, it definitely will not happen.

Loved track one, and I was waiting for it to stop being an intro and turn into Pink Floyd circa "Echoes". Then came the vocals. It went downhill for a couple of tracks. At least on Communique the voice(s) were used more as an instrument, rather than the guys attempting to sing. All OK until "My Life" which sounded like a duet with Tiny Tim. Mercifully, it was short.
3/5, mostly for track #1

Haha yes. What a bizarre album. It gets a few things so right and ends up almost like a parody at other moments.

Played this several times now and I really like it , love Communique and At Your Enemies , female vocals ? I think that's Josh Klinghoffer . Strong 4/5 not quite a 5/5 .

Well, for a few tracks it was a 3/5, but by the end a 2/5, I found it became a rather irritating album that did not really do much.

Somehow 'At your enemies' plays through my head often throughout the course of a year yet memory serves it better than actually going back to listen to it.
