Since streamlining my vintage kit, Ive added a SACD player and want to get a CDR. Being all 70s receivers Im looking to get a DAC to connect via digital input.
Questions. Would this be an upgrade on using the cdp dac directly into my amp? Are there DACs that can allow more than one source connected? Any reccommendations upto £350 new or used
Thanks

Most DACs have a variety of inputs so you can use different sources if you wish If you get something like the Allo DigiOne and your SACD player has a digital input you would be able to use your CD player built in DAC So many DACs out their I think Slinger (Paul) was about £350 and seems a bargin I got my Topping D70 about that price but think it is higher now

I think Slinger (Paul) was about £350 and seems a bargin... Mine is pretty much a Topping D70 clone as far as I can determine, same components etc. The one I bought isn't for sale any more, but this one looks to have the same circuit board layout, same components, same case, etc. Some of the internal wiring is routed differently, and the transformers look a tad smaller physically, but it's branded Weiliang Audio the same as mine, and I know a few more people who have had Weiliang kit and praised it. julesd68 may have been one of them. The quoted spec looks even better than mine in a couple of areas. Bundle 4 or Bundle 5 would be your best choices, depending on which USB implementation you prefer, XMOS or Amanero. I chose XMOS. www.aliexpress.com/item/32885924709.html

I think the Chinese slap the Weiliang Audio brand on all manner of components, mostly good. You see the same things with other branding, too.
