Thanks everyone. I've been listening to loads of great music, drinking beer, watching my team beating Aston Villa 1-6 (they were the away team), and chowing down on pizza and yet more beer. Have a CD turning up tomorrow because I cannot find it on any streaming services (although I did download and listened to the MP3 because I bought the CD). It's been a decent day, and no troubling news (of which I've had too much of recently).
58 years old - I never imagined making it this far ....

Well done, Chris. Sometimes the numbers are a shock and you don't feel the way they tell. I still can't believe I'm 61. I certainly feel a lot younger than I did 10 years ago. Hopefully the troubling news will go away for a while. More power to your elbow... more music if not more beer!

58? 61? Bloody kids!  Signs that I'm you're getting old... You know you're old when you automatically sit down to pee. Every time you stand up it's accompanied by a groan. Every time you sit down it's accompanied by a grunt. When you sit on the edge of the bed every morning to put your slippers on, you bend over, pick them up, put them on, and then can't remember what's next. It's the standy-uppy-groany thing in case you were wondering. It might help to write that down. On the other hand, you'll probably forget where you put the note, so perhaps don't bother. You'd never find a pen anyway. Best just to wing it, like the rest of us. |
