I looked 8 pages back and couldn't find an electronic music thread.
I was wondering if anyone ever experiences that feeling during certain electronic music in which the atmosphere is so palpable that it sends you somewhere in your mind that you can't get to without some kind of powerful sensory input. For me a lot of times it's tracks that aren't as rhythm and beat orientated as they are focused on soundscapes and just fascinating tones and timbres(<is this correct usage of the word?). The opening theme music to Stranger Things for example is a slight taste of this for me and the groups listed below aside from Dadub each have songs that remind me of that theme music.
There's plenty of electronic stuff I like and have heard for years but only in the last year or so did I discover things as potent as:
Occam's Laser Dadub Necro DeathMort
This one is almost too much for me as it transports me instantly to a night that changed my life and this was playing. I've managed the memories but with the music playing it becomes almost too powerful. This is a duo out of London that has created some of the most unique sounds I've ever heard and very seldom do they ever sound anything alike to one another.
Would love to hear if anyone has something of this ilk that really grabs them and gets their imagination going.

Vangelis' album China does that for me, as well as much electronic music.
This one grows and grows with added layers the more I listen to it. A superb creation.

Jon Hopkins - Immunity
This is not for everyone but it does create powerful imagery for me.

My lord.. Ive been stuck on this song for nearly two days now. Ive been listening to the extended spotify version but here is a clip that is close to the radio edit I heard years ago.
Does anyone like this track, music video aside?

Nothing ground breaking on this one and quite repetitive but I was absolutely transfixed by this one playing on repeat on a beautiful sunday drive. About a minute in you hear a man and woman talking something that reminds me of an old Marilyn Monroe movie.

Air make some gorgeous electronic music, but this album has an edge to it that the others lack. Stonking sound quality, too.

Coming a bit late to this thread, I find myself having to ask the following question: "Electronic music that gets the mind soaring" - is that actually 'a thing'?
It's not something I have ever experienced myself!

Dig out BTs album "Ima" - absolutely superb and you can feel the pressure drops in the music. Awesome. Worth finding Amorphous Androgenous too...far out...

I've been enjoying this album by Georgia who is the daughter of one of the Leftfield boys. Very retro styled beats.
