I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the LPSU. I've currently got two "cases" open on Amazon, and one on eBay, for stuff that hasn't arrived, or, in the case of eBay, has never been sent.
The two at Amazon are both for snap-chokes, and are two completely different companies, but both Chinese. I should have known better.

Talking of cases, I felt like I was on The Krypton Factor for a while trying to coax the Tinker into its case!
Got there in the end.
So, to heatsink or not to heatsink - does it need one in this case Martin?

It needs the two supplied with the case

Ah, the Akasa case I received from Martin doesn't have the thermal bits and pieces.

Go to page 6 where you can see I had the wrong heatsink in If you put the 2 case ones in those positions

I haven't put the supplied Tinker heatsink on - let's see if Martin still has them ...

That case is not an Akasa, it's a different albeit also nice one. Use the heatsink supplied with the Tinker Board on the main CPU. It doesn't run that hot as a streamer.

8 days later, LPSU arrived, and plumbed in. First impressions are that it's a fairly weighty lump, the fan is, indeed, bloomin' noisy, and the light show at the front will drive some people (most people) crazy. I find the display interesting at the moment, it's fun watching the (supposed? Probable? Possible? Made up?) current draw fluctuating. I feel that this particular novelty will soon wear off. Fortunately for 90% of my listening I'm not facing my system.
No pronouncements on sound yet, I've literally fired it up and made sure it works, and works with the ATB. It came with a UK mains lead, and two sets of leads for the binding posts that supply the variable voltage. It also came with a single sheet of instructions but I'm saving those for when I need a good laugh.
So far, Douk Audio's service, the LPSU's construction, and the overall package, have impressed me.
[EDIT] I forgot to mention, last-mile courier was the Post Office, and there was no duty to pay.

Guys - I am sorry I have no feedback on my Tinker build yet. Some family matters have had to take priority and I've not been able to fire it up but I'm really hoping to have a clear run at it soon.

Paul, any verdict on your new LPSU? Sound-wise I don't think it's made a great deal of difference, Jules. It does save me having to remember to charge the power-bank every night though.
