One for the tech savvy please.
Not an easy task. Want to scan handwritten pencil (!) into a PC or similar. A few hundred pages
Scanning and OCR is getting better by the year. Has it got this good ?
Why ? All my Peel tapes have a list of artists and tracks. Would be wonderful to be able to access this instantly, search on artists and tracks

I used to spend ages scanning typed/word processed pages, via OCR, to put them into a printed magazine. Inevitably it then took ages to proof read the results and correct the mistakes. Scanning anything hand written was totally out of the question - it was quicker to re-type them.
I know my Android pad can do a reasonable job of turning 'handwriting' (i.e. input using the stylus) into printable text, but I doubt anything can handle the sort of hand written input you're talking about.
I'd love to be proven wrong..

You'd be better off employing the services of a student who wants to earn a little extra, transcribing it for you.

Had experience a few years ago in printing. Hoped the tech had moved on and up Way better than the 80s but still nowhere near enough for handwriting, let alone in pencil. Was hoping there was a breakthrough somewhere.
Must be a demand ......
