Thanks for your always interesting choices, John! Listening to this now - excellent !!!! I am always a bit weary posting on the classical section as never sure if anyone will like them as a bit different to everyone else

Your choices are always interesting, John. Different is good. I'm always keen to explore.

Hmmm ... it's Mozart, BUT it's Khatia B so I will just have to listen ...

La Buniatishvili - quelle profonde beauté d’esprit, une performance vraiment exceptionnelle du ciel. Vive la difference!

Mozart is beautiful, Mozaet is sublime.
It just took KB to open your ears to it.

I'm having another crack at Rubbra, not really succeeded in the past, mainly I think 'cos of starting his symphony cycle at #1. Not his best work, I fear. Really impressed by #3 though! And playing #5 atm. Nicely atmospheric so far. Looks like I may succeed this time. I've a few chamber albums lined up in my playlist, too.

Mozart is beautiful, Mozaet is sublime. It just took KB to open your ears to it. This is entirely possible Jerry! Could be the start of something here ...

Very mixed reviews of this "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Ott - some hate it, others love it. Personally I really enjoyed it! Full of character, although some will be disappointed by a lyrical rather than a tumultuous Great Gate of Kiev finale. Very well recorded.

Mozart C minor mass - probably my favourite choral piece - in a lovely live recording
