Mahler 4th by Currentzis and the SWR orchestra. There's an interesting 20 minute rehearsal video of this on Facebook, but I can't find it on YouTube or the SWR site, so here's the full in concert performance!

Damn, that's clever. How long before we have a complete AI symphony? How much longer before we can't tell human from AI creation?
It makes me a little uncomfortable.

Schubert's final string quartet - One of the great masterworks of classical music imo, and this is a very fine performance

it doesn't get better than this High praise indeed! Thanks for this Jerry, am listening now - very poignant to know that Nikolayeva died shortly after a performance of this same work in San Francisco ...

Track 3 amply demonstrates her astonishing virtuosity - the consistent muscle control and precision is otherworldly.
Track 4 is in the current Grade 8 syllabus - I thought I recognised it as I was listening through all the choices recently with my son ... very tricky contrapuntal playing required!
I would concur 100% with Jerry's assessment of this.

For an old Melodiya recording, that is a great performance and it's captured well. Fabulous and not my normal intake despite my love of Shostakovich.
