I purchase a Innous zen mini mk2 last week- £600
amazon fire tablet-£50
Orange squeeze ap-£3.05
ethernet cable -£5
the zen is hard wired via ethernet to my router.
fire up the tablet visit the app store and purchase orange squeeze software
im awfull at computer based stuff but managed to do it in 20 minutes
i was previously using a acer lap top everything ripped to flac running foobar
my sons mac sounded better so i looked around for a dedicated server/streamer purpose made for audio
dac duties taken care of via usb to my tq claymore
the jump in sonic performance is palpable
noise floor noticeably reduced
detail resolution and soundstage is tremendous
frequency extremes have improved noticeably treble is sweeter/bass multi layered and crakatonian
probably the biggest sonic improvement i have gained from one component
well worth consideration for a one stop top notch digital front end

Great result Tony I just was reading about it yesterday after Chris mentioned it. Yes should be a lot better than the laptop as that has a lot going on with it that will get in the way of the sound quality

John, my lap top was my weakest link-a palpable upgrade
im looking to get a linear supply in the near future
proper bit of hi fi
support is good. they are in the process of resolving spotify issues
if that gets resolved i will be delighted

Nice review Tony, and that’s a pretty looking streamer too.

Spoke to Dave Brooks at MCRU he can supply a LDA one to suit.
Nick Gorams supplies have a great reputation might as well get a good one then its done.
