Does anyone use the upsampling feature in Volumio?
I've tried it and can't say I notice any difference.

Yes, I use it upsampling to 24/96 (Very High Quality mode) for Spotify hi-bitrate streaming. It makes a very noticeable difference for me.
My Pi has a DigiOne board and is running into a Caiman SEG set to mode 4 (data clock recovery) via Belden 1694A co-ax.

I'm also using a Digione with a SEG that Stan has just Supercapped and upgraded the headphone amp for me .

I also use it and I found it a nice upgrade but ensure you also using very high quality setting. If using higher than 24/96 the sound quality is not as good via Spotify

I agree, the 24/192 setting goes too far. 24/96 sounds best for this kit.

I'm still getting to grips with volumio upsampling. With my NOS DAC is certainly adds sparkle and life. Possibly 24/88 is slightly preferable to 24/176. With my o/s DAC the jury is out, I need to listen more to decide whether upsampling is good with it.

Also going to try 'mode 3' again - I think that is the mode you meant Martin (option 4)

Sorry, yes, it's Mode 3 (4 LED flashes). Wish Stan had reconciled the Mode number with the no. of flashes!
