I been using the PSU for the last 2 days Right away I could hear the soundstage open up I also added the BR pads and a snap choke next to the SMPS This has given more body and musical flow. This just makes the sound very musical Highly recommended

Just a correction, John. It's not an SMPS, it's a low power linear PSU.

A few further thoughts Leaving the unit powered up has given even more clout. I been adding snap chokes close to the cheap linear power supply that powers the PSU I am also using BR black pad for isolation
I not heard this level of improvement since changing to my speakers
For me it takes Stan DAC and makes it compete to some serious High End DACs
It takes Spotify with the DigiOne into some very expensive company for sensible money

I ordered a 15v linear power supply. At present I am running the PSU of the battery which I prefer over the supply that came with it. I will update once I tried it with the linear power supply

So do you think the chokes made a difference, John?

Yeah they help but my system has a lot of resolution so even with the benefits of using snap chokes it was not enough

Is that the reason for using the BR? how have you found that?

Everything in the digital domain matters IMO I found that adding a BR pad to the power supply and a weight helped improve sq further

I agree with John, everything matters - isolation, power supply, cables, noise reduction.

My 15V PSU arrived from China today and now that it's installed I can hear a great deal more detail. How the hell do these Chinese chappies such a good looking piece of kit for £35 delivered to the UK? Looks like I'll be going down the SEG cap mod and then this new Supercap PSU. I've still got the Anker as a back up. Great stuff so far!

Added a linear power supply from China went for one just under £100 Nice upgrade compared to the power supply that came with it. Sound is more relaxed with more detail coming through. Prefer this to the battery powering the PSU

Agreed with that, John. I'm getting a staggering amount of detail, vivid but not harsh or tiring. Just fantastically well portrayed in a relaxing manner, as you say.

Just a quick update. The supercap PSU should be with me around the third week of August. I don't like talking cost and then spring an unpleasant surprise, but it shouldn't cost much more than dinner for four at a decent restaurant, VAT and tips not included...
I have asked for about 10 pieces to be sent to me via FEDEX in advance of the main shipment. So if you would like to be an early recipient, just email me. The email will be used to build up a notification list. I am only making 100 pieces at this stage.

Having lived with this I am still very impressed. Highly recommend but remember to use a decent supply feeding it

So has your Chinese PSU worked for you, or are you recommending something better?

I had quite a long conversation with Stan himself specifically telling me NOT not to spend any more than the cost of a Chinese PSU . I suppose it's whatever sounds best in your system.
