Very nice, Chris. Will you be hogging the right lane from now on?

Had a great test drive of the new Civic. Lots of tech that I'm not very interested in but best thing was driving it. Tried the 1.0 turbo, surprisingly peppy engine, no shortage of get up and go. Very comfortable on the road, superb into corners, chassis feels very rigid and stays flat in and out of corners, no perceivable body roll on the short drive we had. Definitely a contender for us next year.

It's a good car. Shame that the design of this model looks like a dog's breakfast.

I'm with Jules on the car and Martin on the design.
When I saw the first one in that style my brain did a double take

See you've gotta look forward on the design I think. That car will hold its own in 20 years.

Hi Chris
A very low mileage (52K) R class 4 matic, sport in iridium silver 3L TD it has enough space with both sets of seats out of the way to comfortably house a decent sized pair of floor stands up to 1.9m's! plus room left for amp and source as well.
Previous owned by a fastidious gentleman with all Benz dealer services, 12 months test, 6 months proper warranty, two new tires, gearbox/trans axial service, re gassed air con, full valet.
Looks and drives like it was 6 months old.
A nice everyday runner that will manage 36+ on the gallon, though I may remap, still have the one left from the E class we also have.
Currently there are some very good deals to be obtained right across the car market place.

I have invested in a front and rear dashcam. It uses a mobile phone as the screen. I found that I get distracted by the dashcams that have an inbuilt screen. The dashcam from another driver helped me in an insurance claim this year, which is why I now believe that it is a vital investment in this day and age.

Nice! Mines a bit older an 04 - but I'm the 4th owner,67000 miles 12 months MOT and immaculate inside. It's gonna need a bit work - but all in all a very good car.

A little advice please ...
If I'm looking to spend around 14-15K on a used car at a main dealer, what kind of cash discount would you try and get?

Depends. German and you'll be lucky to get 5%. Japanese and perhaps 7-8%.
Meant to add: you'll find it easier bargaining for free service / extended warranty / lifeshine paint, that sort of thing.
