Just a bit of a gripe. DVD-A discs have root menu with various resolutions to pick from plus extras such as alternative takes. Blu-Ray Audio discs start playing straight away even though there is a choice of output , none that I own have any extras btw. So if I wanted the 5.1 Surround sound and its second in the menu after 2.0 PCM I have to scroll down while its playing. Not a big deal but why aren't they like DVD-A

Well, try playing DVD-As with menus on a machine like my Ayre with no video output!

Well, try playing DVD-As with menus on a machine like my Ayre with no video output! Ha ! I was about to add that if you don't have a screen to view DVD-A discs then you can not access their root menu , hey ho swings and roundabouts. So just buy SACD's , except your DAC becomes redundtant Bloody digital formats , didn't have this aggro with good ol' records .

There is a trick on the remote and I can nearly always get to the right set of tracks by looking at the display and resolution LEDs. It's a pain, though.
