Started and finished by Bruce Hornsby with some wonderfully dramatic orchestra pieces

I like this one too - 'Chelsea Walls' Standout is the unexpected rendition of Lennon's 'Jealous Guy'

Suspiria (and most other Dario Argento films) - Goblin
Shaft - Isaac Hayes
Across 110th Street - Bobby Womack (with J.J.Johnson and his Orchestra and Peace)
Loads more, some of John Carpenter's film music for instance. Howard Shore's soundtracks for all three Lord Of The Rings films, and Edge Of Darkness amongst others. A Hard Day's Night, Yellow Submarine, Help. Am I allowed to include Spinal Tap?
And my favourite... Easy Rider - Various Artists.
I could have picked any track, but this one just edged out "The Weight"

The soundtrack to Carpenter's The Thing is dead creepy.

For that version of Bowie's Cat People, much better than the version on Let's Dance. Cat People was the first 12" single I ever bought with my own money. And yes, far better than the album version!
