My installed Spotify app on my home machine is set to start up automatically if I click on a Spotify link here on a web page. That is as it should be.
My Spotify installation at work goes and opens the browser version of Spotify rather than start the app. Rather annoying, which means I have to search the app for the same piece of music for which I already have a link.
Where is the damnable setting to change this behaviour (which I remember seeing in previous versions but doesn't appear to be there any more)?
Both Windows 10-64 bit, running Spotify version 1.0.10.107.gd0dfca3a

OK try this:
Edit - Preferences Now, scroll down to the bottom Show advanced settings - Start up and Window behaviour - Allow Spotify to be opened from the web

Allow Spotify to be opened from the web That setting appears to be missing in this version

That's a bit odd.

There's some noise on the support forum that this version is a bit screwed.
