I keep an eye on Panasonic Plasmas 2nd hand on Ebay
The CRT is 36" so I thought 50" as a nice step up. Room should be big enough to take it
Still not entirely convinced I want to though

Have a look on hotukdeals - plenty there. Search functions handy.

if you purchase a vinyl through Amazon Prime, you automatically also get the download immediately I get that without Amazon Prime, all my Amazon purchases (except marketplace traders) appear on Amazon Music. I've just checked, and vinyl purchases appear too.

Prime must be different here, as I have not get a 30 second preview of the tracks and there is no obvious way of downloading music to listen to later.

Have you got Amazon Music installed? It links to all your historical purchases and allows playing and downloading of your purchases.

That works fine, but I can't get more than a 30 second preview for music I have not purchased. Spotify premium does the job for this (free with my mobile contract).

Oh sorry, no of course you can't hear music you have not purchased. I didn't get that from your comments. Spotify Premium is definitely the right application for that.

The thread title states "Amazon Prime - free music" so I was wondering what and how?

I've just checked, and vinyl purchases appear too. Ah, I always thought it was for Prime customers, as I only noticed it once I was a Prime customer. I either never noticed before, or it became part of the normal service around the time I signed up.
