Came across a website where Mr Westlake is building a completely new pcb for the mdac to improve it and allow existing owners to fit it themselves.
Does anyone know if its actually gone ahead as his website does not make it clear?

Just had a look at PFM , not been on there for a few years and of course the MDAC is still top of the listings. Had a quick read but it is a little hard to work it out. I know when I was involved with John Westlake he was usually 12 months behind his time goals.

I can probably find out as a friend is quite close to all this - personally I never read that pfm thread though.

The full-width case is now a compulsory part of the deal with an option of a slot-loading CD drive that I shall be having.
I expect the FDAC, as it is now called will be ready some time next year.

I wouldn't hold your breath - way before then it will have morphed into something completely different again (judging by progress so far) and the never ending cycle of 'development' will still have no end in sight.
