In 2002, Peter Bradley of the Labour Party tabled Early Day Motion no. 1369, which said: Quite right too! It was signed by a cross party gang of hippies and an amendment was tabled shortly after by Alan Whitehead: Here's the Parliamentary Record: Early Day Motion 1369

It has to my ear a curious use of spatial positions. Many tracks start strongly to the right then a much more open and wider combination coming from the left then the full width. Different. The recording is free from to much artificiality having said all that. The lyrics get you thinking lyrics.
I have always liked the album since way back. Don't go in for the this is the bestest ever stuff but it is quality

I bought it when I was 16 - I didn't know what it was but it looked interesting. The first time I heard it, I knew it was special and it turned out to be probably one of the most special albums I know.

Yup great stuff.
I put that at 598th in my all time favourite list of albums I probably won't listen to again :-)
EDIT: Not intended in bad spirit but I suspect most people's best album of all time would be something they heard when they were teenagers or in their early twenties. I was already old when that came out. Just seems a bit plodding to me.

Good album but hardly the greatest ever. Can't say anyone has done anything quite like it before or since so it has a unique and magical quality. It would probably make my top 20 albums.

Aha, unique and magical......I thought it was rather derivative with shades of all sorts of previous sounds. There you go, different folks etc.

Perhaps not the greatest but it's certainly up there and it's one of the few albums I've "doubled up" on by buying it on CD as well as owning the original on vinyl.

It's good but not THAT good! Yes my feelings as well , sometimes I think wow this is great and other times I take it off after a couple of tracks.

I seem to remember that I bought my (vinyl, obviously) copy in Fluff Freeman's shop in Bromley. And if I didn't feel old before...

My first copy came from the Record and Book Exchange in Trafalgar Street, Brighton and it cost £2.99.
