They good for central heating too! I've heard that. I'll give it some thought on where it can go.

Lots of testing today with interesting results. Think I've come up with some conclusions. Logitech Streamer + Beresford Caiman II ---- Easy to listen to with added remote Volume due to the variable output which is convenient as the Exposure don't have remote volume. Naim NDX Streamer ----- adds a lot of detail and control but nowhere near as easy to listen to with a lot more forward vocal which I think is part of the annoyance. Naim NDX Streamer + Beresford Caiman II ----- Much easier to listen to again with a warmer presentation, vocals are still forward but more acceptable and detail has further increased with deeper bass and further bass. Naim NDX Streamer + Beresford Caiman II + Stillpoints (Supports) ---- Even better, bizarrely a lot smother sounding. So are you happy with the system now Paul??

PS it successfully played every CD I loaded, so not sure why it was having such a hissie fit at the show.

I have bought myself a Cambridge Audio CXC transport second-hand from an AoS member.
It arrived yesterday, and initial impressions are that it's a significant improvement over my Naim NDX streamer.
The sounds is a lot more relaxed but with the same (or more) detail.
Think I'll sell the NDX and get some money back.

Time to get that Raspberry Pi built up now Paul, then you'll be fixed for streaming too.

So I was thinking to myself, what does the Cambridge Audio CXC bring to the system and I've come up with the following answers.
Firstly it's nicer sounding, less in your face, smoother, warmer and laid back. Secondly it's got a massively wide and deep sound stage, and contains tonnes of detail.
I find myself turning up the volume (much to wifey's distaste), rather than wanting to turn it down or walk out of the room.
