Sorry to hear about the flu thing. Yes, take your time. It all sounds rather fascinating and I suspect what you say here..... .... rings true with quite a few TAS members, for all sorts of reasons.

I'd like to encourage others to have faith in their own hearing and be brave enough to pursue an sound that suits them rather than one that fits the trend-setters ears. Perfect - you'll fit in nicely!

I just took a look at one of the workbooks. It was a "Hypnotherapy practitioner Diploma (NCH, NCFE) DipH, DipNLP&HC (AAC)." I hope that makes more sense to you than it does to me. It was a 9 month course IIRC. The NCP are these guys: thencp.orgI also took an NLP Master Practitioner course which was Accredited and signed off By Richard Bandler. The guy who taught us actually studied under Bandler himself and this enthused me far more than hypnotherapy. Like most of the things I've studied, the majority of it has been forgotten due to lack of regular subsequent use, although I am still interested in learning more when it comes to NLP. I have the same qualification! Didn't do the Master Prac though ... You didn't study with Trevor Silvester by any chance did you ...

I got well into Tony Robbins Depending on your views he either besmirched NLP or took it higher - or maybe both ! Shaped a lot of the way I think now

it seems like a better "fit" than the others. If "liveliness" comes at the price of ego-driven bullshit spouted by forum cliques, know-alls and sycophants, I reckon I can live without it. Hello from another new member, ditto to the above comments just not worth it.

I actually studied with a different practitioner though. He's getting on for 70 now but has done this stuff for 35-40 years. It was a really fun experience.

Tony was my first experience of NLP although I didn't know what it was at the time. I had a huge turnaround in fortunes from applying his teachings. I think it's time for me to revisit his work. In fact, that's going to be my New Years resolution and it should coincide nicely with getting shot of this Flu! Sometimes you can gain more from revisiting and applying stuff you already know than you can from learning new stuff.

I revisit a few things from time to time as *I* have changed and sometimes I hear new points Probably time I revisited some of the giants speakings
