I like the idea, but from a practical perspective I'm not a fan. Eyes are drawn by movement, and so the scanning movements that they usually makes when reading are interfered with if multiple little objects move over the text, with the upshot that posts are harder to read.

Fear not, I've just seen a weather forecast and I understand that, this evening, we'll be seeing a warm front moving over all areas of TAS except for the main menu page. However, the arctic conditions there are confidently expected to last for the rest of the month.

Snow fell here for about five minutes, kept dog happy while he chased the flakes as they came down, Suns out now and it has almost cleared away, bloody cold out though, warm winter wear for the rugby later and a wee hip flask just to be safe from the chill.
