WooHoo : Trashy TV par excellence.
Not only does the aforementioned "Batwonman" start tonight, but it's followed by s14 of "Supernatural," kicking off. E4 it is then, from 21:00 to 23:00. Recorders set to stun.

Picard: I really rather liked it with its up to date edginess while still remaining recognisably Star Trek. A good, and not entirely predictable, ending. Will there be more?

Batman S1e1 was very watchable. It's dark and quite edgy for mainstream superhero fodder. It may turn out to be as good as the first two or three series of Gotham were.

I've just watched the final part of Mark Kermode's latest series and it was excellent, as were the first two, and I'm going to miss it. 3 episodes really aren't enough. If you've missed any or all of it, I recommend watching it on iPlayer.

I have been greatly enjoying S2 of Netflix' Formula 1: Drive to Survive documentary series. They give tremendous insight into the inner workings of a team (different focus in each episode) and there are no-holds-barred moments of anger and frustration, especially copious swearing from Gunther Steiner of Haas.
Most poignant is how Nico Hulkenberg very nearly won the German Grand Prix but made an error and went off the very wet track in a blunder that proved to be the end of his F1 career, after which Renault quickly dropped him.

There looks to be an interesting new sci-fi series that's just come to Amazon: Tales From The Loop. Oh, and the score is by Philip Glass

I've watched the first episode of "Tales From The Loop" and I'm not even going to attempt to review it. I'll just say that {a} I shall be watching episode 2, and {b} it scores very highly on the weirdness meter.[/b][/a]

I've been enjoying War Of The Worlds on NOWtv, that's the Canal+/FOX series rather than the disappointing BBC effort. It is a slow burn but I like it for that, the tension is palpable.

Reminded me of The Leftovers in its overall feel and the mourning music throughout. So what was with the bin, then?

Recognise her MartinT? A few years ago now! This is the least ear bleeding of all the tracks🙂 With some good material etc could be decent. In the meantime, we have our images of her, guns strapped on, or foofighting 7 thugy blokes no sweat😀

Ooh, Two! I'll have to have a listen. Two rather understates her biology / strengths / allures, doesn't it 😂 Porcia, much more fitting!

It was good, though. Reminded me of The Leftovers in its overall feel and the mourning music throughout. So what was with the bin, then? Episode 2 was rather good, too. I like the slow pace, the detail, the visuals (the barn with the bizarre arc on its roof, the strange robot creatures, the 'sentinel' towers) and the acting. Elements of Lost, The Leftovers and a bit of Black Mirror all in there. Gorgeous music, too.
