Anyone hoarding 1987 mags? Yes, me! I almost certainly have the News and the Answers. There's a very slim chance I may have the Choice. Not able to get at them just now but maybe later today or sometime over the weekend.

I'm officially jealous. I loved Hifi Answers and also liked Hifi Review. I bought them all from late 86 to their end. 1987 was my formative hifi year. I married on 2 Jan 1987* and we moved straight to York. We had a flat about 100 yards from The Sound Org and I passed it every day. Except for the days I went in. Somehow we never had any money left at the end of the month! *A strange day to get wed but we had an impulse on New Years Eve and turned up at the registry office to get a special licence. They couldn't fit us in on NYE so we had to come back Jan 2nd. Sorry for the thread drift but every time I mention my wedding anniversary date, everyone asks why we chose such a weird time. We didn't: It should've been 31 Dec

I have them from about 1986. I used to have all of the 'Reviews' too but chucked them away during a house move. I only ever bought that title because it made me laugh - I wasn't impressed by the editorially biased Linn/Naim bullshit but I did find it very amusing. Chucked all the copies of 'New HiFi Sounds' away on a different move (all except for one that featured a page long piece about my system).

I think they did a feature on one of mine too. Probably early 1989 at a guess. I had a Rock, A Tma3 and ES14s. I gave a psuodinym though, which I'm sure was Harry Snodgrass. God only knows why I did that but I can claim it was a youthful attempt at humour.
I'm going to keep a look out for 87/88/89 vintage magazines, especially Answers, Review and NHS. Hopefully I can read about your system back then. The Hifi Review Summer special of 87 (may be 88) that featured six different systems of escalating price was my favourite magazine ever. It did have a strong flat earth bias but I still have a lot of passion for many of the flat earth products from that time.

I used to have years' worth of Hi-Fi Answers, Hi-Fi News, Wireless World, Electronics Today International and Elektor (the latter right from the 1st issue). All long gone, now.

I went through a couple of spells of collecting them again. First Audiophile the Hifi World. All given away when I had no room for them.
