The bitumen stuff is quite heavy - it's got to have an effect on the suspension. I suspect it would change the resonant fequency of the suspension, which might not be an ideal scenario. I used cork tiles and caulk to great effect on my TD125 MkII - it's much lighter and damps out resonances well.

I should have mentioned that part of this tweak was to change the original Thoren suspension springs to the stronger LP12 options which worked a treat.

I really don't like cases that ring when tap them, I e ways lined the inside of my cases with flashing band, which is lead alternative used in roof construction.
