A Mutec MC-3+USB seems a likely candidate. USB in, reclocked AES/Co-ax/Optical S/PDIF out. Would love to bring mine round but, you know... I do suspect this is very good. I've managed to get a JLSounds board in my Lampizator. But not yet in galvanically isolated mode with external clocks. However, I think there maybe a chap at work with the skills to do that. Will find out this week.

Tony of Coherent is the UK importer, Steve.
I can PM you details, if you like.

CCA outputs Optical TOSLINK only for hi-res stream.

Ah, ok, then you only need the MC-3, not the USB version.

Yes, that figures. How does the Mutec work?
ipurifier uses asynchronous buffering. Runs out of space it seems? The dropouts are totally random. Can be a short while into a track, or not for a track or two or more!

I played a playlist that only has 24/96 tracks in it.
Dropouts ~2 mins into the first 24/96 track. 3 tracks later. 6 tracks later. 4 more tracks no drop out.
Playing another 24/96 track. Not dropped out yet.
Chopping and changing between res' seems to set it off more😱 That's my normal mode of operation 😀

The Mutec never drops out and my LKS locks onto it with the tightest DPLL setting. It is known as a superb (possibly the best?) reclocker with very low noise levels. I've never known the buffering to show itself at all. It's a very professional design and quite good value for what you get, which is a high quality piece of German engineering.
EDIT: I can chop and change between the extremes of 16/44 and 24/192 without any issues, or other strange formats like 24/44 and 24/88.

In my system it lowers the noise floor increases detail and depth. I am going to get the non USB version as a few hundred pounds cheaper and do not need USB. I will be returning my USB version once I get one.

I got a new power block from Future Shop, nothing too fancy, and using the ipurifier alone on that with the supplied PSU - things were going well. Eventually I got a dropout or 2 hitting all the 24/96 tracks on a Qobuz demo playlist. Sounding quite amazing actually! Then this happened! Totally refused to play it. Just a series of clicks and pops and squelches. Next track at the same res did exactly the same. 😱 24/96 and others played okay. In fact any / all of the 88.2KHz fail spectacularly 🙄 Without ipurifier in they play no problem. Reaching for the goods return details as I write!😀 Coherent have already been sent an email about a Mutec.

Perhaps the iPurifier just can't cope with the lesser-used resolutions? Very odd, though, and not at all useful.

I'm now on the list for a Mutec loan unit from Tony @ Coherent🤸
